According to reports, the majority of this misbehavior occurred at the testing firm Aston Carter (formerly Aerotek), which Nintendo utilizes. The company’s female employees have experienced harassment from bosses and improper comments made on Slack channels. Nintendo has not addressed any of this publicly, but NOA President Doug Bowser has sent a message to staffers, which Kotaku was able to receive. Bowser asserts that Nintendo is “actively investigating” the allegations of employee misbehavior. Nintendo’s apparent response to the problems is encouraging, but maybe they will reconsider their contracting policies given that the type of setup Kotaku outlines tends to encourage exploitation. -Doug Bowser
